So, ever since I learned about my true bra size, I've wanted to go to this boutique near my house that advertises brands I like (Freya, Panache, etc.) and A-K cups. Of course, since it's a store, they sell at full retail price, and since I am on a budget, I never went and just bought bras on Ebay.

Well, I got pregnant and over the past couple months, I've gone from 34GG to 34HH recently my cups were too small again. Also, I've been getting tension headaches every day, which I'm afraid might have something to do with the extra weight on my chest. So, I really wanted to try on a lot of styles and find a perfect fit. I've been feeling pretty down about my boobs lately because they are just so big and heavy and saggy. My current bra (ebay) gives me an east-west splay which doesn't help me feel pretty.

I walked in and said "I am wearing a 34HH and the cup is too small." The saleslady said "you're pregnant, you shouldn't be wearing a wire." I told her that actually it's fine as long as the wire fits and isn't sitting on breast tissue. She said to just try a soft cup.

I said ok. Her first pick is a 36DDD. Amazingly, it doesn't fit. I say again "34HH." She looks at my bra tag and says "That’s European sizing, I don’t know about that. This one might be about the same."

Uhh, no!

Next she brings me a wireless Elomi bra in 36G. Arg! I came in wearing an Elomi bra in 34HH. Shockingly, that didn't work either. So she brought me a 38H. My boobs fit in that one, which was a nice change, but the band didn't even touch me all the way around. That was the end of her soft bras, so I reminded her that I would rather have a wired bra so that I don’t look awful. She brought me a brand I’d never heard of in 36I (presumably American I). The band was huge, and the gore/center of the wires were sitting on top of my boobs. I showed these problems and she said “your breasts have changed, so you can’t expect it to lie flat.” She actually tried so sell me on a $60 bra that I could pull 6" away from my back and that was sitting on top of my breasts! She actually told me that it might fit better next week, since my boobs are changing all the time. Surely next week my ribcage will have increased in size while my ever-increasing cup size will have suddenly started to shrink dramatically.

I asked to please try anything in a British 36HH and 34J. They had nothing at all.

I know my size is weird, but if you advertise Panache, Freya, Elomi, etc., and you advertise that you stock up to a K, how could common band sizes (esp common since they like their customers to wear a loose band) like 34 and 36 be completely unavailable?

I went home and bought a Cleo Marcie and Panache Jasmine for myself in 34J. I really hope they work. I sort of want to try some 36HHs as well, since it seems like a looser band might be more comfortable, but when I've tried an extender, on my 34s, I've lost all semblance of support. My break the tape measurement is about 32.5" I was so excited to try multiple bras before buying!
